Bathroom Improvement

I just moved into my first house and it has a very ugly black and brown bathroom with a unsightly avocado green bathtub… about how much would it cost to get my tub refinished/painted and paint the bathroom tile white since I’ve read that if you don’t get it professionally done, then the paint will just come off after a few showers. About how much and how long would it take?

Tile is 8″ squares w/dark brown grout. Tile around tub & sink is beige w/med brown mixed in. Tub is gold which I can’t change. I will change sink to white?

Hey guys about five months ago we had a kitchen fire and everything in are house was ruined luckily everyone was okay we live in a rental house down the street and the house is almost finished we just have to have the electrition come in and we be moving in next weekend hopefully. My parents had paid extra money for things to get remodled there bathroom was my question is what can use to leave a permit Signature on bathroom tile? It is dal tile we would like are project manger to sign because he came up with such a wonder and pretty design in my parents bathroom.

I just had tile work done, floor and shower and now I’m looking to paint the bathroom. The tile is a tanish color and I also bought a matching toilet which is called almond. I’m now looking for a color to use to paint the bathroom. Its a decent size but nothing huge. There is only one window which gives some light but nothing too much. Any ideas would be great, thanks!

I was told to leave a 1/4 inch space between tile and walls/tub. Does this mean NO GROUT between tile and walls? That was my understanding until someone at a home improvement store told me to grout up to the walls and tub because ceramic tile doesn’t expand or contract. If he’s right, please tell me (because I went ahead and did what he said, hoping he’s right). BUT if he’s wrong, how much empty space (no grout, no tile, no thin set) do I leave between the tile and the walls and tub? Also, if I do need space, what’s the best way to remove grout?

My bf and i our re doing his house. His bathroom has Dark gray tile on the floor (with very little white design on them) in the shower he has Dark(but a little lighter than the floor) tile, with glass doors. The tolite is black. What color should be paint the walls, and what color tile should we do the counter in (2 sinks that are black). Thanks for any sugesstions!

My bathroom has tile around the whole bathroom.It has some baby ble in it.So i painted the walls blue.I paint the molding around the door and window white.the floor is tile also and is white and blue little squares.the problem im having is i feel thats its dead.its white and blue everywhere.I want another bold color.something that will pull it all together.well im still remoldeling, so should i go for simple look or should i get a design going like angels or fishes. please help. i’ll put a picture tomorrow.

I belive it is some type of cheap foiling technique because it scratches off easily and CANNOT be removed with OOPs or mineral spirits. Scratching it off is difficult because the designs is sunken in on the tile…I have also tried bleach, any other suggestions????????

I have three different kinds of ceramic tile. I am on a budget so I plan on using the tile that I was given for free. I believe I can design a nice looking bathroom so I am looking for information on random tile work. Or is this possible. A friend of mine tiled his kitchen floor with random pieces of tile. I need any information on how this can possibly be achieved.
