bathroom decorating ideas

I am remodeling my bathroom and I want to make it look beach but I dont know how to do this. I dont want to paint anything blue, I already have a lot of blue in my house. I am tiling up the wall about a third of the way, so I need to know what color to put on the wall above it, and maybe what I can put in the bathroom, any decorating ideas would help.
Havanadig, I know the beach I go to is nothing like yours, sounds like you need to find a new beach.

bathroom improvement

I sold my primary residence in 2006, for $125,000 and bought a new house for $205,000 in the same month. I used 75% of the profits from the sale ($30,000) as the down payment for the new place. My question is twofold. Do I have to pay taxes on the profit I made from the sale of my house, and secondly, can I deduct the improvements I made on that house, such as appliances, bathroom remodeling, etc.?

bathroom improvement

I live in an affluent county and have many great references. However business is really slow. Other contractors are feeling the pinch too and are bidding pretty low. I do bathroom remodeling, wood floors, painting, drywall, etc. I do have a website, but honestly no one has ever called from it. Any concrete suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

bathroom tile design

I am remodeling a small bathroom only 39sq ft. I had someone come out and give me an estimate, he brought a sample of a job he did and tried to sell me on that design, which will NOT complement my existing fixtures, since my existing fixtures are fairly new, I decided to reuse those to save me money. Anyways, this sample he brought me used 16in tiles, since my bathroom is so small, I think huge tile will make it seem even smaller and claustrophobic, I was thinking 1in-4in tiles, but this guy insists that large tile will make the small bathroom seem larger, is there any truth to this? Also, what is a good price to pay, I want the tub replaced, the tile around the tub, replace the small window, flip the sink and toilet so that the sink sits where the toilet is at and the toilet where the sink is, maybe re-tile the floor. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

bathroom paint

we are remodeling our bathroom. The countertop is shot but our cabinets are still in great shape. They are not solid wood…they are wood faced. They have been painted once already but I don’t like the color. I am concerned about painting it as I don’t want the paint to scratch or chip off. Any suggestions as to how to assure this will not happen.
