bathroom improvement

I was told to leave a 1/4 inch space between tile and walls/tub. Does this mean NO GROUT between tile and walls? That was my understanding until someone at a home improvement store told me to grout up to the walls and tub because ceramic tile doesn’t expand or contract. If he’s right, please tell me (because I went ahead and did what he said, hoping he’s right). BUT if he’s wrong, how much empty space (no grout, no tile, no thin set) do I leave between the tile and the walls and tub? Also, if I do need space, what’s the best way to remove grout? :-(

bathroom tile design

I have large (8in x 8in) ceramic tiles on my bathroom floor that came loose. The grout is cracked and now water that splashes out of my shower stall gets underneath it. I don’t want mold to develop under the tiles. I want to know how I can fix the tiles permanently and prevent water from getting underneath them. I have about 5 tiles that are now with cracked grout and with water underneath. They are white tiles with no fancy designs on them. Would adhesive caulk alone work? If not, what do I need to fix them and how do I do it? Thanks!

bathroom paint

I have painted over all the walls as well as the shower recess wall tiles and they look stunning. Just like having a new bathroom but I just need to do something with the floors (bathroom as well as shower recess)without having to pullup the vile tiles that are there. Plz help :) They are ceramic tiles and any help would be appreciated thankyou.

bathroom improvement

A general site would be great, but I’ll probably have to upgrade the bath/shower and perhaps the bathroom floor soon.
