Bathroom Improvement

I would like to paint the bathroom to make it look fresh and updated. Right now the colour in there is a drab off white YUCK! My landlord has okayed new paint in this room as long as I choose a colour she can agree with me on. My bath mat, “toilet hugger” mat, and shower curtains are all a dark navy blue. I also have one mat in front of my sink which is blue with fish on it as the the theme of my bathroom is fish (for the kids). What coulour would you suggest? Something that my landlord will agree on that is not TOO drastic yet will look nice with my decor.

I want to put a drawer inside on the bottom of a bathroom vanity. The sliders will need to be on the bottom, not the sides of the drawer. Any ideas on how to do this? (At a local home improvement store I was told that they’d have to be on the sides…I didn’t buy it.) Thanks….

I plan to remove the old layers of paint that are peeling, before painting. We have installed a fan/vent, but the humidity in the full bathroom is still very high. What sort of wall cover can I use, that won’t succumb to mold/mildew or peeling?

I just moved into my first house and it has a very ugly black and brown bathroom with a unsightly avocado green bathtub… about how much would it cost to get my tub refinished/painted and paint the bathroom tile white since I’ve read that if you don’t get it professionally done, then the paint will just come off after a few showers. About how much and how long would it take?

i am recently divorced and want to paint my bathroom but i am not sure if i need a gloss or matte or exactly what. Types would also be useful- Behr, Sherman Williams, Glidden etc.

The bathroom in the house I live in has paint peeling off the walls. The previous owner says she painted over wallpaper. How can I fix it and repaint it?

We have painted our bathroom ceiling and the cornices in our spare room with matt emulsion (water based) paint and within a day the pain began to crack badly.

The cornice is mostly cracking where the old pain had cracked off and left the cornice exposed.

The bathroom ceiling is newly re-plastered and we painted with a 50/50 paint/water mix first then two coats.

Yet, we also painted the bathroom and bedroom *walls* with this paint, both newly re-plastered, and they DIDNT crack.

What should we do?
OK, thanks for the cause but what about the solution? sand and re-paint? new type of paint?
